Pussy Riot
If you haven't heard about them they are an all girl punk band in Russia that got in trouble for their protest song. One of them said something about Putin should be removed while they were doing a concert in a church. I am not going to get into the political side of it because that is all over the news. My problem is that someone thought it was ok fora band named Pussy Riot play in a church. By the name alone they should have thought it wasn't a good idea then knowing they are a punk should have been another sign. Most punk bands are pretty much against government so no one should have been shocked by what was said.

I had read about it. Like you I found it really entertaining that they would express themselves in one of the most restrictive places... church? Really? Anyways, I like how in Russia, you can be convicted of "Hooliganism". That was pretty funny.
@Sanitayl - It is pretty weird.
I find it incredulously funny and outrageous. But that's Russia. You should check out this infamous Ukrainian feminist group FEMEN (Ukrainian: Фемен) who carries out topless protests in public on everything from corrupted officials to animal rights. People tolerate their acts because the ladies are hot!

Agreed. Tey should have known what was coming. Speaking of the name, I'm surprised the front page didn't bleep the title out.
@GoldenSilk - I just checked them out on YouTube, thank you for letting me about them. They don't need to protest topless but if it helps more power to them.
